Parent Interaction Programme

PIP(Parent Interaction Programme) was conducted  on 29th April 2017 for the parents of ClassIII PRIMUS.
The session started  with discussion on  Assessment structure and Syllabus of PRIMUS  followed by Hands on activities by parents on different concept taught to their wards .The Activity session started with a Math Activity , in this activity group of 4 parents were told to arrange themselves on the chair labelled with different place values(Th,H,Tens,Ones) to form the greatest and the smallest numbers ,Continued with science activity in this activity parents were given flash cards withpictures of  different plants and they  had to categorize the different plants under their respective types . English,Hindi activities dealt with the concept of NOUN.
The programme also had a Session of HELEN-O-GRADY a life skill class introduced this year for grooming the students .
Overall the PIP conducted was a fulfilling experience for both the teacher and the Parent, as the parent got an outline of the TEACHING METHODOLOGY adpoted in Primus.

NATIONAL MUSEUM

Students of class III-V (PRIMUS) visited National Museum on 28th April,2017 (Friday). 

The collections of the National Museum covers nearly all the departments. It represents almost all disciplines of art: Archaeology (Sculptures in Stone, Bronze & Terracota), Arms, Armour,Decorative Arts, Jewellery, Manuscripts, Miniatures and Tanjore Paintngs.Its rich holdings of various creative traditions and disciplines, an unmatched blend of the past with the present , brings history to life. The visit was an enriching experience for the students .

MIX AND MATCH

Students of class III performed an activity on different types of Plants. The students were given flash cards of different Plants around us and they had to categorize the plant(Creeper,climber,Herbs ,shrubs or trees) by sticking them  under the correct label.This activity  enhanced their observational skill and applying the understanding of the concept in real life application.

GERMINATION

Students of Class III A learnt the concept of Germination through hands on  by sowing a seed and watching and observing its growth for a week,watering it and taking  care of it .

This activity also sensitized the students towards environment.
