Students of class II investigated “Is salt
soluble in different liquids like cooking oil , vinegar and water” .The
students observed and dissolved salt in vinegar ,Cooking oil and water . Students observed and concluded that
salt was soluble in water and vinegar but insoluble in cooking oil. The
investigation was made a fair test by using same quantity of salt in all three
different liquids.Students did this investigation to find out insoluble solids
in different liquids.
Global perspective display was organized in the third wing from Class I to VIII were the students displayed their work and students visited different classes .The students reflected upon their learning .
Students of Class III investigated that the energy is transferred from one object to the other through the activity. A small bit of petroleum jelly was put on the handle of the teaspoons then a bead was pushed into the petroleum jelly on the spoon, Hot water was poured into the beaker and the spoon was then dipped in the hot water . The students observed the bead sliding and then eventually falling of the spoon The students concluded that the energy transferred from the hot water to the spoon due to which the petroleum jelly melted and the bead fell off the spoon.
Students of Class II,III, IV went foe a visit to Traffic Traning Park(Punjabi Baght) for an education visit. The authorities arranged traffic personnel to guide and give a tour of the place. Ths students learnt about different road safety rules and als were made aware of the road signs. The students were made aware of the importance of a good Helmet. The parwas designed with zebra crossing and traffic lights to make them aware if the importance of the same. Later videos related to Do's and Dont's were shown to the students. The visit was an learning and enriching experience for the students.
