Earth Hour 2016 around the world in

Earth Hour has seen the lights go out again in many of the world's largest cities, each with its own local focus on energy concerns.

Earth Hour is a worldwide movement uniting people to protect the planet, and is organised by WWF.  Earth Hour was famously started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Since then it has grown to engage more than 7000 cities and towns worldwide, and the one-hour event continues to remain the key driver of the now larger movement.

Some 350 world landmarks including the Empire State Building and the Eiffel Tower have gone dark for 60 minutes starting at 8:30 pm. local time.
Millions of people from 178 countries and territories took part in the event this year, with monuments and buildings such as the Eiffel Tower, Taipei 101 and the Empire State Building plunging into darkness for 60 minutes from 8:30pm local time on March 19.

MULCHING

MULCHING
Mulching Project taken up by the students of Cbsei. The objective of this Project is to sensitize the students towards the environment and help them become Environment friendly ,Contribute to the environment in their own way, doing their bit in nurturing the environment.

What is a MULCH?
Just like your own bed has a blanket, a garden bed needs a blanket too.  But, it’s not called a blanket, it’s called mulch.
Mulch can be made out of lots of material such as straw,Gravel, leaves or the chopped up bark from trees and is spread over the soil .

This initiative is dealt by the student's hand on experience with the environment.  Students are taken to the school garden,  they collect dry fallen leaves  from the garden and collect them into a bin for later use of making mulch.

      Thanks very mulch!

HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY

Image result for republic day 2016

Republic day in India is celebrated every year with great honour on 26th of January to honour the Constitution of India as it came into force on the same day in the year 1950. It had replaced the Government of India Act, 1935 into the governing document of India. On this day, a national holiday is declared by the Indian Government.
The new Indian constitution was sketched and approved by the Indian Constituent Assembly and decided to celebrate it on 26th of January every year as India became a republic country.

After many years (26 years later), Indian Army dogs are now back to participate in the Republic Day Parade 2016 at the Rajpath. Around 36 Indian Army dogs including 24 Labradors and 12 German Shepherds will take part in the parade. They are practicing since last four months and three times a day for better performance.

For the first time since 1950, a foreign army contingent will march down the Rajpath during the Republic Day parade. The 35th Infantry Regiment of 7th Armoured Brigade has been practicing for the parade after it participated in an eight-day joint excercise of Indian and French troops from 8 January.

This is first time in the Indian history after 66 years that there will be no BSF camel contingent participation in the republic day parade 2016.

The timing of republic day parade in 2016 has been reduced by at least 15 minutes by the government. There is plan to perform 90-minute parade in 2016 instead of two hours by cutting down some marching military contingents and number of tableaux.
