How much salt dissolve in water

Students of class II investigated “How much salt can dissolve in different quantity of water”. Three glasses of same size were taken and different quantity of water was poured in the glasses and salt was slowly dissolved in the different glasses .The salt was poured and mixed till no more salt could dissolve in water. The investigation was made a fair test by using same shape and size of glass. It was observed that glass with less water dissolved less amount of salt and the glass with more water dissolved more salt.

Using a Sieve

 Students of Class II Cambridge performed an activity to separate a mixture of salt and kidney beans using a sieve. Students mixed salt and kidney beans then used the equipment 'sieve' to separate the mixture , students through this activity observed that small particles of salt could pass through the sieve but kidney beans could not. 

                                   













An Amazing Mixture

 An activity was demonstrated in classII cambridge using mixture of salt , kidney beans , metal pins . The students were asked to plan an investigation on how to separate the mixture using different equipments like magnet and sieve. The investigation was conducted by first separating salt using sieve and then later using Magnet to separate metal pins from beans .Students concluded that by using right equipment we can separate different mixture.

Sorting Solid, Liquid and Gas

 Students of Class II A cambridge did a group activity on solids,Liquid and Gas . Students were called in groups and were asked to identify the slips (that had name of things made from different material) given to them and sort them in the different circles made for Solid, Liquid and Gas on discussion with their peers and also each group was asked to explain the properties ofeach matter. Students used Identifying and classifying scientific enquiry for this activity.
