Learners of Class - X IGCSE prepared soluble salt of copper sulphate and formed crystal of it through crystallization process and also prepared Insoluble salt through the precipitates formed.Through the crystallization process, students obtained beautiful blue crystals of copper sulphate.They also prepared an insoluble salt by mixing two solutionsLead(II) Nitrate solution - Pb(NO3)2 (aq) - colorless Potassium Iodide solution - KI (aq) - colorless to form a precipitate.
The activity helped them understand the difference between soluble and insoluble salts.
